fundamentalsof Theatre

Fundamentals of Theatre is an participation/project-based introductory course for all grade levels to gain exposure to various aspects of theatre with a focus on performance.  This class is great for those unfamiliar with theatre.

Acting 1

Acting 1 is a participation/performance-based class designed to introduce students to all aspects of performance including auditions & resumes, scene works, improv, and much more.

Acting 2

Acting 2 is participation/performance-based class designed to nurture the growth of student actors through work with advanced actor techniques, various styles of theatre, and advanced scene & monologue study.

advanced drama 1

Advanced Drama 1 is a participation/project-based class designed to nurture further students knowledge through exploration for playwriting, performing and directing.

Advanced Drama  is a participation/project-based class designed to challenge seniors in the areas of performance, directing, play creation, and producing.  This course produces a one-act production in the fall, a showcase in the spring, and various other projects throughout the year.

technical Theatre 1

Technical Theatre 1 is a participation/project-based class designed to introduce students to all aspects of design and production including scenery, costumes, props, lighting, sound, stage management, and makeup.  Some after school hours may be required.

technical Theatre 2-4

Technical Theatre 2 - 4 are participation/project-based class designed to provide students with opportunities to apply their technical theatre knowledge through hands-on work in the areas of design and production.  Students in these courses serve as leaders on our design and production teams..  Some after school hours are required.

dramatic writing for stage, film & TV 1

Dramatic Writing for Stage, Film, & TV is a participation/project-based course designed to provide students with opportunities to explore the professional writing process including the writing life, multi-genre writing, script writing, and pitching to studios/networks.  This course is also accepted by the USG as a 4th ELA requirement and automatically counts as two transcript credits (Fine Arts elective & ELA.)
